Thereafter, on the dashboard of the same site, click on "Appointment Confirmation"... you will now see the new DS-160 number updated there with same appointment date and time as has been booked by you previously.

Creating a new application and receiving a new barcode doesn't invalidate the previous application barcode, but that application won't have the changes you made. If I were you I would just go to the appointment, and inform the consular officer of whatever the change is. Share.

Mar 4, 2024 · You can “Retrieve an Application” using the application number on your previous confirmation. Select “Create a New Application.” instead of view confirmation. The form will auto-complete with your previous answers. Edit and submit. You'll have a new confirmation. Take both old and new DS160 confirmation to the appointments.
Jun 24, 2016 · You can start a new application, your initial DS-160 will be deleted from the system after 30 days. There is no harm in filling a new DS-160. Also make sure to save data every now and then as DS-160 logs you out after some time of inactivity.
