It is possible to use Microsoft Word to convert .pdf to .docx, then import .docx to .odt However, the point of using Libre Office is to avoid having to purchase MS Word.
Jul 14, 2019 · Open the pdf in a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader, copy the text (I mean text, numbers, dates as they are all just text) in the tables, paste into Calc. At this point you can add quote delimiters if needed to allow for spaces within some text, it will get tedious for more than just a few.

If there is a software converting the pdf files you get to MS Word files which fulfil your expectations, LibreOffice will most likely be able to work with these files and to convert them into ODF files (native formats for LibO).
Feb 16, 2024 · I am on windows 11 (64-bit) and using the newest release (24.2.0). I have already tried going back to 7.6.4 and using either of the 32-bit versions. The details of my issue is that whenever I save a fresh document in writer and occasionally also when trying to save changes made to pre-existing documents, Libreoffice freezes and then crashes. A crash will also happen if i try to restore the file lost in a preceding crash. I am wondering if there is something that can be done about my problem ...
