Nits’ilʔin Joe Alphonse holds an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Victoria and is a member of the Order of British Columbia. He has been Chief of the Tl’etinqox-t’in Government since 2009 and remains the longest elected Chief in the history of Tl’etinqox-t’in.
