Go to the image directory C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\BingWallpaperApp\WPImages and delete the following files: - EmbeddedImage1.jpg. - EmbeddedImage2.jpg. - WPPrefs.bin. Fire up Bing Wallpaper again. So my new theory is that the image list is held in WPPrefs.bin and that somehow gets corrupted.
Apr 28, 2023 · Uninstall, reboot, install Bing Wallpaper app. Deleted the WPimages folder when app is open and also closed. Checked registry for leftover pieces of the uninstalled app - none found. Created registry keys as mentioned on a help page. I completely wiped my Surface Pro 7 and installed a fresh and current Windows 11 from scratch.

Jul 18, 2024 · Here are the steps to reproduce the issue: Open Bing Wallpaper. Go to Settings. Enable "Daily Refresh." Close the app and reopen it later. Notice that "Daily Refresh" is now disabled. This is incredibly frustrating as it defeats the purpose of having a wallpaper app that's supposed to provide fresh images regularly.
