When I clicked on the Bing icon in the system tray, two additional images - EmbeddedImage1.jpg and EmbeddedImage2.jpg - suddenly appeared IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER IMAGES. So the other images were still there, but Bing Wallpaper no longer knows about them.

Mar 29, 2015 · I read here that deleting the themes folder it will get remade with the new images, and it worked. However those are not the files used by the Wallpaper app and deleting the images folder won't get the same result. I have added Bing Desktop to the Firewall white list and the issue is still there.
Apr 28, 2023 · I have installed the Bing Wallpaper app on my Surface Pro 7 with current Windows 11. The images are not changing, after installing the current Bing image is loaded and that's it. On all my other non-Microsoft devices it is working: Android, macOS.
Please try the following steps and see if it resolves the issue. Go to the folder "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\BingWallpaperApp\WPImages" and delete the contents of this folder where the Bing Desktop images are stored. Then, restart your computer and see if the new wallpaper appears now. Let me know how it goes. Thank you.

Feb 20, 2021 · I click on Change Automatically, and a new desktop background appears. However, the next day, (and every day thereafter), I must continue to manually click the 'Change Automatically' button in order to get a new desktop picture.
