- Don Eladio. So many Breaking Bad characters have shown up in the thrilling spin-off, and Don Eladio's appearances are underrated ones. Just like the deadliest and most sadistic characters, Eladio is charming and charismatic, and that's what makes him one of the most exciting characters to watch.
- The Twins. Leonel and Marco Salamanca are two of the most iconic villains in Breaking Bad. Their suits, skull-capped boots, and bald, shiny heads are instantly recognizable.
- Tuco Ramirez. The very first episode of the show proved how much of a contender Better Call Saul is on the TV landscape and that it isn't just any TV spin-off.
- Howard Hamlin. There are so many movie jerks audiences hate, but when it comes to TV, there's no bigger jerk than Howard Hamlin. Despite how well-meaning a character is, audiences will always hate them if they try stopping the protagonist from following through on their ambitions, because that's what viewers want to see, even if the ambitions are criminal.
James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill, better known as Saul Goodman and later Gene Takavic, is a major character in the crime drama series Breaking Bad and the titular main protagonist of its prequel/sequel series Better Call Saul.

- Tuco Salamanca. Though an infamous criminal and the iron fist of the cartel's operations in Albuquerque, Tuco Salamanca is entirely unpredictable and deeply unstable.
- Betsy Kettleman. The faithful wife of disgraced former Bernalillo County treasurer Craig Kettleman, who was caught embezzling over a million dollars of public funds, Betsy is an early thorn in Jimmy's side in the show thanks to the absolute control that she exercises over Craig as Jimmy competes to represent him.
- Marco and Leonel Salamanca. Almost never seen apart, Marco and Leonel Salamanca, often just referred to as "The Cousins", are the toughest muscle of the Salamanca family and maybe all of the cartel operations seen by the audience throughout either Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad.
- Hector Salamanca. To this day, when most fans of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul think of Hector Salamanca, they think of his later years spent in a care home for the elderly.

- Walter White. The greatest villain in Breaking Bad is the hero. There are a ton of compelling villains in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, but there was no villain more compelling than the character introduced as the hero.
- Gus Fring. Gus is an intellectual match for Walt. Walt finally met his match when he came into conflict with Gus Fring, the drug kingpin with a front as the proprietor of a fried chicken restaurant chain.
- Lalo Salamanca. Lalo is both disarmingly charismatic and unnervingly sinister. When Saul was first introduced in Breaking Bad, he had a throwaway line about a man named Lalo.
- Chuck McGill. Chuck is deeply unlikable, which made him a great villain. In the first three seasons of Better Call Saul, the main villain wasn’t anyone in the drug trade; it was Jimmy McGill’s own brother, Chuck, who deeply resented him and did a terrible job of hiding it.
