Ph.D Programme. The Department welcomes students who are interested to pursue a Ph.D in the disciplines of Economics, English & Fine Arts, Psychology and Sociology. The programme is divided into two parts: coursework and dissertation writing. The coursework part is composed of four Pre-Ph.D courses of four credits each.
PhD students of IIT Roorkee can include an external supervisor (inclusive of an international supervisor) through the Finalization of Supervisors Form. Addition of a supervisor at a later stage (but before their comprehensive examination) is possible through the special SRC recommendation form (Point 8 A) .
