Achanta Sharath Kamal (born 12 July 1982) is an Indian professional table tennis player. He is the first Indian table tennis player ever to become ten time Senior National Champion [ 4 ] hence breaking the record of eight-time National Champion Kamlesh Mehta.
In 2019, the veteran Sharath Kamal rose to a career-best ranking of world No. 30 and in the same year, won a record ninth national title, beating Kamlesh Mehta’s two-decade-long record of eight victories. In 2020, at the age of 37, Sharath Kamal finally won his second international title at the Oman Open, a decade after his first.
Achanta Sharath Kamal is a tennis player who has done what no other Indian could do before him. Among his firsts are being ten times India's senior national champion and being the first Indian in history to win an ITTF Pro Tour singles title.
