    Aniruddha B. Pandit was born on 7th December 1957, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He earned his B. Tech (Chem) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.), Banaras Hindu University, in 1980 and earned his Ph.D. (Tech) degree from the University Department of Chemical Technology (now I.C.T.) in 1984.
