Jdownloader2 works on windows, linux, mac, in a docker. will let you download both the video and also just audio, if you want just that. Can do a TON more regarding downloads, so might be overkill, but it's really good. If you have an android phone, you can also use Newpipe. No idea what iphone has though.
Jun 18, 2023 · Bitrate affects video quality. For example, a 1080p video encoded with 2000 Kbps bitrate has lots of artifacts and looks blurry. But a 1080p video with 8000 Kbps bitrate looks crispy and flawless. Typically you want 3500-6000 Kbps bitrate for 1080p video streams at 30-60 fps.

Without it, you're limited to 720p on youtube. you can change the video & audio type (extension), this command will adjust to the best quality available for the chosen video & audio extension. -f "bv+ba/b". Im trying to download videos in their maximum audio and visual quality.
but I would recommend adding this to your mpv.conf (which can be found by right clicking in the ui->settings->open config folder) by default it should in roaming though. ytdl-raw-options = extractor-args="youtube:player\_client=default,ios",format-sort="codec:h264". The reason I recommend adding this line is to avoid issues with seeking on vp9.

This is wrong, whether it's the quality of the original video that you're downloading or there's a bug in your app. 1080p is still available to download for Premium membership. For clarification I'm running Android 12 latest build and YouTube latest build.
