I located the wallpaper using windows registry and found it at C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\RoamedThemeFiles\DesktopBackground. What's surprising is that when I checked the file properties I found out that it was created shortly before I noticed that the wallpaper had changed (within the past 1 hour, that is, within the duration I was near the laptop).
Whenever I start my computer the app starts and disrupts my wallpapers I already have on my pc. Whenever I right click it, it takes me somewhere else instead of the usual options like deleting it.

Oct 4, 2016 · I had a beautiful background for my screen wallpaper. I unknowingly changed it by just testing out the options in the Settings menu. Now, it will not let me change it back! There are Themes downloaded into my Personalization folder, but when I select the theme I want, only one picture option comes up and I cannot get the picture I want.
Mar 24, 2023 · Just got a new PC a few days ago, and this very same issue popped up the morning after from its 1st shutdown the night prior. The only solution I see so far is extending one of the monitor displays & reverting it which causes the screen to go black for a moment. You're then able to pick a different wallpaper for the 2nd monitor.
