HarmonyMusic is also great, it has both vertical layout similar to Vi/RiMusic and normal navigation like Innertune and SimpMusic. I don't use it because Flutter apps tend to run badly on my device. Now the only feature missing that I'd really like to have is being able to import a Spotify playlist in one of those apps.
Sep 12, 2022 · It pulls from Youtube Music so it's not going to sound as good as the FLAC files you play locally with Poweramp, but I think most people will find the price (free), selection, ease of use, and safety from shady apps all they need to hear music on their phone.
ViMusic, on the other hand, is more privacy friendly (it still performs requests to music.youtube.com tho), but it doesn't contain trackers, ads or bloats (it's a 3.0 MB apk). However, my app performs offline playbacks, so you can save data and battery the next time you listen to the same song (after a little research, it looks like the native app can't do that).
Oct 17, 2022 · Google Play Music was the only music streaming service I actually liked. When I was finally forced to switch to YT Music, I jumped ship to Spotify. It sucks, but it's better than validating Google's asinine decision to cancel GPM.
Dec 23, 2022 · ViMusic is not "designed" so to say for offline music, but it is there if you want. Follow up what u/PredatorPreys13 + go to settings and mess up with the cache capacity. You can, essentially, min maxing to your needs. But, again, if you want offline music, you have to go for Spotiflyer or smth. The offline system is all your music you hear ...
Aug 9, 2023 · + for albums innertune uses art tracks but SimpMusic doesn't (just like original ytm android app it uses regular uploads, in ytm it was done to show you music videos for current song), from what I've seen art tracks are better quality than normal youtube uploads, example: original Linkin Park upload art track reuploaded by YouTube , on 25th second you can clearly hear the difference

Sep 22, 2022 · True, and the fact that I doesn't have android auto, (yet, it's a work in progress) is the only thing that keeps spotify as my online music application. I strongly believe that youtube music has much bigger selection than spotify (namely every music and every remix in existence!).

Though if you're only playing a few tracks in folders, and don't need a library, it's worth trying out. Sony Music (not Sony Music Center!): This is the only player that isn't on an app store. I downloaded the APK from XDA as it is a few years old.
