A postcode area is the area that your local Delivery Office delivers to. We cannot redeliver to an address outside of this area. In most cases, for example, if you live in SE25, the same postcode area would be any other postcode commencing SE25. Was this helpful?
Addressing your item. The name and address go on the bottom left corner of the front of the envelope or parcel. Use a clear and easy to read hand writing (or font if you are printing the address). Use a pen or ink that is clear against the colour of the envelope or parcel. Left align the text (no centred or 'stepped' lines).
Updating my address in Postcode Finder. Our address and postcode information is held in the Postcode Address File (PAF®). The changes we can make to addresses are set out in the PAF Code of Practice . The Postcode Address File is a database of all Delivery Points in the UK and is used to enable Royal Mail to deliver all mail efficiently.
