I actually bought it primarily to replace dropbox that I am using at the moment. I have a family dropbox and a separate business dropbox for work. I've set up two users on the NAS: family and work.
Jun 23, 2020 · I've had this issue when running the install from the fresh downloaded Drive Share Client (Synology Drive Client-3.4.0-15724-x86). Deleted everything then installed an older version (Synology Drive Client-3.1.0-12923) and allow it to naturally update to the new version.
Feb 26, 2021 · I tried the Synology Drive Client yesterday and had the same Problem. Application closes right after start, I tried the following Versions: 3.5.1-16101. 3.5.0-16084. 3.4.0-15724. 3.4.0-15721. Always the same Problem. I tried it on my Win 11 PC and my older Win 10 PC... I can't find any log-files, however windows event log shows:

Oct 13, 2021 · Successfully installed Synology Drive Client and created a two-way sync on My Documents. Now, subsequently, when I launch Drive Client, to create a new, additional, two-way sync between another folder, when I launch Drive Client on the local machine, it loads a windows file explorer panel for the Docments folder that is synced and NOT the expected drive client app where I can create another new folder sync.

Oct 10, 2023 · Check if kicking the current user server-side could help. It's in Synology Drive Admin Console, Clients list, Delete the connection. Might be misspelling some of names, as I have non-English interface. After that I believe you'll got your Drive Client disconnected and you'll have to fill in new user credentials to connect again. Nov 9, 2024 · The latest Synology Drive Client version (3.5.1-26102) cannot be installed on MacOS 15.1 upon downloading from Synology.com. The Apple security service blocked the installation with the following message. "Apple could not verify that “Install Synology Drive Client.pkg” is free of malware that could damage your Mac or violate your privacy."
