2 days ago · Swachh Bharat Mission -Grameen (SBM): Phase I (2014-2019) Responding to the imperative for comprehensive sanitation coverage, the Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on October 2, 2014, by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, with a focus on making India Open Defecation Free (ODF).
Having achieved the milestone of an ODF India in a time bound manner, the work on sanitation and the behaviour change campaign is being continued in Phase-II of SBM-G which aims to focus on ODF sustainability and SLWM in villages i.e. ODF Plus rural India (ODF Plus Villages).
SBM(G) Phase-II will be implemented from 2020-21 to 2024-25 in a mission mode. Government of India launched Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) on 2nd October, 2014 to accelerate efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage, improve cleanliness and eliminate open defecation in India by 2nd October 2019.

Feb 19, 2020 · The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has approved the Phase II of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) [SBM(G)] till 2024-25, which will focus on Open Defecation Free Plus (ODF Plus), which includes ODF sustainability and Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM).
