It's a little bit expensive but Poliigon is honestly worth the price if you are using it for more than just a hobby. Sure there are a few nice free things sprinkled around the web but if you really want a large variety of high quality assets then the short answer is, yes you will have to pay.

Mar 25, 2022 · I'm following Blender Gurus "How to make an abandoned house in Blender" - tutorial. Around 10:30 in the video we're shown how to apply Poliigon textures by going into the Shader Editor, pressing Shift+A, pressing "Group" and there in the drop down menu there should be new node groups containing the materials that I donwloaded.
Feb 27, 2019 · Poliigon is not a free site, but it has some textures you can download for free. They also publish alot of stuff on sketchfab, which is convenient for hobbyinsts without money, but there are a ton of free alternatives .
Aug 20, 2022 · Hi, i had this problem too, and my solution was that i downloaded the wrong addon😅 turns out there are two addons on poliigon website, one named poliigon blender addon and one legacy material convertor. Don’t know if you made the same mistake tho.
Jul 14, 2021 · I've been trying to install pypesq and pesq modules. But I keep getting stuck. I tried downgrading pip , install wheel, microsoft c++ version is higher than 14, created an env with lower version of python (=3.8) but nothing seems to work.
Dec 6, 2018 · Poliigon.com is quite good for photorealistic content, is pretty cheap, and has a lot of useful things besides textures like brushes and now models. The variety is quite nice, but very "arch viz" oriented. Their library is quite big but not as much as Megascan or GameTextures.
Aug 31, 2022 · I quite like to use Poliigon. Today I unpacked it again and found that it has changed a lot. Actually, I find the changes that Poliigon now brings with it really, really cool. However, I have a small problem: I can unfortunately no textures or brushes that I have in my inventory download. Every time I get the message "Failed, retry".
Jul 23, 2021 · Although there are many free texture websites mentioned here and I can say for sure they are really good. I use them regularly. But, there is a reason poliigon gained popularity. Their textures are really good and their texture library is huge. I would suggest you try it out for a month and decide for yourself. But imo, you can't go wrong with ...
Jan 21, 2023 · I’m not sure if anyone has experience with Poliigon materials? I applied materials to an object and exported as an fbx with the settings to keep the materials. When I transferred the fbx to another blender file, the materials were gone from the object but still present in the material window. Deleting hasn’t helped.
