Feb 20, 2020 · When you open the page, go to the "Help with games" section in order to find the right path to look for help.. Unable to log in to my Minecraft/ mojang account. I bought Minecraft years ago. when I was barely a teenager. So when I wanted to check out Minecraft again I was shocked to find I was unable to log in to my account.
It is counterintuitive because you are not actually setting up a new account. But once you click to add a new account you can choose to sign in with your Microsoft account in the Launcher. Once you do that, it will automatically use the Microsoft account to log you in from the Launcher. And my worlds were there without change.

From now on, you will use your Microsoft account to sign in to the Minecraft Launcher and on Minecraft.net If I recall correctly I think it generated a new Microsoft account that was paired with my Minecraft account when I merged, which is the email that I do not know.
So I tried contacting Support. Even though I had my username, password, phone, access to the Mojang account, and access to the launcher, they refused to do anything to help me recover it without either email verification or me supplying my transaction code (which is emailed to the email account the moment you buy the game).

Update 9/19/2023: The migration of your Mojang account is now complete.
