Click on the box to start a conversation then select contact that you want to send instant message. On the bottom right part of the screen, a chat box will appear.

Sep 6, 2015 · I noticed on Windows 10 that when you click on "All Apps" on the Start Menu, and scroll down to "Windows Live", Windows Live Messenger is automatically installed on Windows 10. However, when I try to sign in, it says that there was a problem signing in. Does this mean that Messenger has made its way back, or is it still discontinued? Thanks!

Unfortunately, MSN Messenger was officially discontinued by Microsoft in 2014, and the service and its data have since been deactivated and deleted. This means that it is not possible to access your old MSN Messenger contacts or messages directly from the service.
Sep 15, 2018 · Windows Live Messenger was discontinued in 2013, so it's not clear what you're trying to achieve. Skype has much of the capability that Messenger had.
