Nov 30, 2022 · It would be funny if this winds up turning Joker into a huge punching bag by the fandom. I'd be happy if it meant DC just put them on a shelf for like five minutes. I do expect a joke from one or both of them about hating musicals or somesuch in the comics soon.
Nov 30, 2022 · Ezra single handedly destroyed the hype with his off screen insanity. But I also think audiences just needed a break from superheroes post Endgame. Everything, including Marvel movies, was struggling. I would have loved to have seen Keaton as Batman one more time but not if it meant desperately trying to salvage all of the numerous DC movie ...
May 27, 2024 · Underrated movie with an underrated soundtrack. The movie is very loosely based on the lives of Carole King and Brian Wilson, telling an imaginary love story about two characters inspired by their life stories. The movie soundtrack brought together composers and musicians from the 60s with later artists to write all new songs.
Nov 30, 2022 · Frankly as someone who actually enjoyed the movie and felt it was pretty solid, though not on par with the first one, I'm just shocked at the unanimous trashing of the movie by audiences and critics alike (and you know how hard it is to get those two to align these days ).I dunno what did it in - the psuedo-musical aspect, the supposed 'dullness', or the message that was perceived to be against fans of the first film.
So if you've just seen the X-Men movie - the future Sentinels are pretty awesome. Energy powers, bodily transformation, flight, strength, etc. Pretty good...
May 27, 2024 · An impressive great original movie soundtrack with songs that fit the scenes including this suspenseful Chasing Luther song during the Chasing Luther scene. 48 Hours is a great not PC Action movie made in the 80s when it was common for movies to have their original movie soundtracks.
Nov 30, 2022 · If the actor/actress is extremely well received as the character on TV, they have that person locked into a reasonable financial contract for the movie. If they aren't well received, the studio can just choose to recast, with likely no penalty (it would be pretty dumb for a studio to sign a contract forcing them to use said actor/actress in a movie adaptation, when the studio holds all the leverage).
Apr 30, 2014 · I thought X2 was a good X-men film that felt like the X-men. And The Wolverine was a good Wolverine film that felt like Wolverine (for the most part; despite Jackman being handsome and a foot and a half taller than everyone else).
May 27, 2024 · The other band members try to save her. Hi-jinx ensue. The movie was a huge flop mostly due to behind the scenes business and distribution reasons, but has since become a cult classic. The main villain is modeled after Mick Jagger and a couple of the band members seem to be very loosely inspired by Rick Nielsen and Bun E Carlos from Cheap Trick.
