Anyhow, if we assume that the GNU-generated code really is significantly larger than Keil's then, obviously, Keil would point to this as justification for the price of their tools! As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for"! But are you sure that the options you have specificed for Keil are comparable to the options you have specified for Keil?
Note that the Keil Compiler (and Linker, etc) is not "in" uVision - they are entirely separate, command-line tools. The respective tool manuals document the command-line interface. So what you really need is the Vim documentation which describes how to integrate any arbitrary command-line tool into Vim...

If you install the ARM7 eval tools you will get a prelim copy of uVision3. You can start from either uVision2 or uVision3 from the desktop. uVision3 has has some neat features but very little documenatation. Fun to play with if you like to discover hidden features. Bradford
