If your blank page is in the middle of the document, it may be due to a manual page break. With paragraph marks turned on, you will be able to see the page break. Select it and delete it.

Feb 13, 2019 · The design agency does not understand Word. Go into the header (edit header) and then press Ctrl+A to select all. Ctrl+X to Cut. Click on the checkbox for "different first page." Jun 18, 2012 · Replied on June 18, 2012. Report abuse. You need to insert a "Section Break" (probably a "next page" break) where you want to start the new page numbering. Then go into the header or footer where the page number is located. Unlink the header/footer from previous one, then reset the page number to 1. This tip goes into the details.

Jun 2, 2018 · For a book, you should also have Different First Page enabled, and the First Page Header should be blank (you can have a page number in the footer if desired). But none of this will cause Word to add a blank page unnecessarily; it will happen only to present two odd pages in succession, which would spoil the book. Microsoft MVP (Word) since 1999.
Mar 24, 2017 · Select all the content of the page and delete it. Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. One thing to be aware of: the cover page ends with a Page Break, which you should delete along with the page's other content. Click the ¶ button on the Home tab to be able to see the break and be sure it's selected.
