Jul 25, 2022 · And I actually rather pay you guys 5 or 10 bucks a month. I get that Plex isn’t Amazon or Google, they also offer free movies on Freevee and YouTube but those ads are less annoying. My biggest gripe is that ads on Plex are too random. Sometimes you get to see ads for 60 seconds and another moment you get to see them for 3 minutes.

It loads the show very quickly, shows a black screen and the buffer bar begins filling but the show never plays. If I move the slider it will progress the show to the frozen scene depending on where the slider is. If I open the plex.tv page or go to my TV the show will play fine, no issues. My local media is all I care about, nothing else and I’m sure plenty of other folks have the same opinion as me. Currently there is no way to fully disable this new Discover and subsequently Streaming Services (More Ways To Watch).
