Dec 9, 2019 · The classification report is about key metrics in a classification problem. You'll have precision, recall, f1-score and support for each class you're trying to find. The recall means "how many of this class you find over the whole number of element of this class" The precision will be "how many are correctly classified among that class"
Sep 12, 2021 · Note: in order to understand this kind of classification report one needs to first understand how things work in a confusion matrix (with sklearn one can use the function confusion_matrix). A confusion matrix shows for every true class X and every predicted class Y the number of instances which have true class X and are predicted as class Y.
It maybe a little bit complicated, since I convert the reports to pandas.DataFrame for calculation. But I think it's worth it, because it works well with two or more report as well.

Jun 4, 2017 · Also the classification report returns error: "UndefinedMetricWarning: Precision and F-score are ill-defined and being set to 0.0 in labels with no predicted samples. 'precision', 'predicted', average, warn_for)". Does anyone know what should I change so it works properly?
Oct 9, 2019 · I went through the sklearn documentation and i changed the class labels from 0-5 to 1-6 to just simply see what scores are printed by classification report and to my suprise the micro average score was printed in the output but the entire score in this classification report is wrong as the class labels are 0-5 and not 1-6 that is why there is a ...

Apr 25, 2020 · Classification report gives a perspective of your model performance. The 1st row shows the scores for class 0. The column 'support' displays how many object of class 0 were in the test set. The 2nd row provides info on the model performance for class 1.
