Microsoft Office 2007 (codenamed Office 12) is an office suite for Windows, developed and published by Microsoft. It was officially revealed on March 9, 2006 and was the 12th version of Microsoft Office .
Office 2007 include essential applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. They’re available as a one-time purchase for use on a single PC. Microsoft 365 plans include premium versions these applications plus other services that are enabled over the Internet, including online storage with OneDrive and Skype minutes for home use.
You'll no longer be able to download Office 2007 from the Microsoft web site. Why is Microsoft doing this? Office 2007, like most Microsoft products, has a support lifecycle during which we provide new features, bug fixes, security fixes, and so on.
You can run your Office 2007 programs up to 25 times before you're required to enter a Product Key. After this grace period, if you haven't entered a valid Product Key, the software goes into Reduced Functionality mode and many features are unavailable.
Office 2007 reached end of support on October 10, 2017, which means Microsoft no longer provides technical support and security updates for it. We strongly recommend upgrading to Microsoft 365 as soon as possible.
To activate Office by telephone, you can call the numbers for your specific country/region listed in this article. When you start your Office 2007 programs for the first time after installation, you are prompted to enter your Product Key, if you have not already done so during Setup.
