Rural Development Commissionerate. Directorate of MGNREGS was established on 2-4-2008, with the objective of effective implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme. Rural Development Commissionerate was created on 6-8-2013 to monitor the implementation of the scheme as per operational guidelines -2013 of the scheme.
