My passport (originally issued in Delhi) is due to expire end of this year, so I have started my passport renewal process. I'm going to be updating how the process goes here and how long it takes, along with any relevant details that might be helpful for someone else in the future.

The same is under processing at Embassy/ Consulate". June 28 2021 - Status on Passport Seva updated to - "Print has been initiated for passport".
May 9, 2018 · I know it is stupid to book the tickets in advance but I didn't realize that the passport renewal process is so slow especially in BLS Ottawa. Normally HCI dispatches the passport to BLS Ottawa after a week once they receive it and BLS Ottawa takes 1 or 2 days to dispatch it to applicant via Purolator. My status updates on backend:

Dec 5, 2019 · So I'm currently a PR based out of Toronto, I applied for my general Indian passport renewal and would like to understand about completion timeline in recent times. My application was received at Toronto Consular office on 8th Feb, 24 and since last week (14th Mar) the status on Passport Seva site shows as 'Print has been initiated for passport.'

As per the checklist I am required to add my Canadian address as the address to be printed in the passport. Can I retain my Indian address as the address to be printed in the passport.

May 9, 2018 · Jan 18, 2024. #2,652. Walk-in are tough. You will have to stay in-line from early morning in queue. I applied for my passport renewal at BLS Toronto via walk-in. I was in-line since 4 am in the morning and got at the counter at 3 pm. But they do offer adjustment depending on the traffic. S.
