Hyderabad State or Hyderabad Deccan [8] was a kingdom, country, and princely state in the Deccan with its capital at the city of Hyderabad. It is now divided into the state of Telangana, the Kalyana-Karnataka region of Karnataka, and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in present-day India, which annexed it in 1948.
