Jan 3, 2016 · I found a question how to find the value of cos 180, then we all know that its answer is equal to cos 0, which give us 1 as answer. I myself think that the idea of cos 180 is equal to 1 is : cos 180 = cos(180 - 0) cos 180 = -cos 0 "which is cos(180-a) =- cos a". cos 180 =- 1. cos 180 = cos(270-90)
I'm trying to show that the derivative of $\\sin\\theta$ is equal to $\\pi/180 \\cos\\theta$ if $\\theta$ is measured in degrees. The main idea is that we need to convert $\\theta$ to radians to be able to
Jul 10, 2023 · The angle between two vectors can take any value from zero to 360°. It is just convenient to take value less than 180°. "The angle in the dot product" What angle is that? The angle between two vectors is almost always measured as angle angle from 0 0 to π π radians (0 to 180 degrees) but it could be any value, including negative. Ah, the ...
Add a comment. 1. If angles a + b = 180 then a = 180 − b. Now, using the identity cos(x + 180) = − cos(x) and substituting with a and b we have cos(a + 180) = − cos(a) and remembering that a = 180 − b, then cos(180 − b + 180) = − cos(a) so cos(b) = − cos(a) when angles a + b = 180. Share.
Sep 29, 2020 · 2. Obviously, π is treated as a real number. While in trigonometric functions, it is treated as an angle in radian which is exactly equal to 180o. Note: sin(π − θ) = sinθ Here, π(radian) = 180o. Also note in simple calculations, π − 180 ≈ − 176.8584073... Here, π is treated as a real number (π ≈ 3.141592654) Share.
We write $\sin(C) = \sin(180 - A - B) = \sin(A + B)$, and $\cos(C) = \cos(180 - A - B) = -\cos(A + B)$ and what you need to prove is $$\sin^2A + \sin^2B - \sin^2(A + B) = -2\sin A\sin B \cos(A+B)$$ Inserting the sine and cosine addition formulas in this, what you need to prove becomes $$\sin^2A + \sin^2B - (\sin A\cos B + \cos A \sin B)^2 = -2 ...
Jul 26, 2014 at 15:20. 8. Two vectors form two angles that add up to 360∘ 360 ∘. The "angle between vectors" is defined to be the smaller of those two, hence no greater than 180∘ 180 ∘. Apparently, you sometimes want the bigger one instead. You'll have to clarify your definition of "angle between vectors".
Sep 2, 2017 · $\begingroup$ A concept the OP may find useful is "periodic with a period k" means f(x+k) = f(x). This is not to say k is the only period of f.
Feb 20, 2014 · $\begingroup$ @Phantom You would still need to apply the chain rule, so it would be $-\pi^2/180^2 \cdot \cos( \pi/180 \cdot x)$. But Claude is right when he says you should be using radians instead. $\endgroup$
$\sin(x) = \sin(\pi - x)$, or, equivalently $\sin(x) = \sin(180^o - x)$. $\sin(x) = \sin(2\pi n + x) \forall n \in \mathbb{Z}$, or, equivalently,
