Jan 23, 2020 · Depends on whether it's a vector graphic or bitmap graphic in the PDF. There are automated tools that will recognise vector graphics and convert to CAD entities, which tend to work reasonably well. Osnaps will also often work fairly well with vector PDF graphics if manually tracing. If it's a bitmap image the automatic tools often fare poorly.

May 13, 2020 · Thanks for the response. I believe the PDF has been exported from AutoCAD and is a standard size. I can't seem to find the size in mm under properties/Get Info (I'm using a Mac). When I insert the PDF and set the scale to 100, it still comes out far smaller than 1:1 with the CAD blocks I am using.

Apr 16, 2020 · Hi, The pdf doesn't contain any vector data, so it won't be converted. it's just a scanned copy. You need to import into the AutoCAD as a raster image then trace/draw over the image. Likes is much appreciated if the information I have shared is helpful to you and/or others.
