Spatio-temporal dynamics of surface melting over Antarctica is of importance in understanding the response of ice shelves to climate change. Normalised radar backscatter is sensitive to the water content of snow.
Seamless homogeneous DEM is produced by TIN modeling of irregular DEM, interpolation for regular DEM generation and automatic strip to strip mosaicing. These automatically generated DEM tiles are further evaluated for quality and tile editing to remove anomalies. The detailed design and methodology can be referred [4&5.] The

Introduction. Cartosat - 1. Department of Space (DOS), Government of India has a glorious history of having launched a series of satellites for Earth’s resource management and monitoring. These satellites have been very successful in providing data in various scales ranging from 1:1Million upto 1:12,500 scale.
The edited DEM is used to generate ortho products and slope map. The paper portrays the methodology and efforts in generating ortho products and quality aspects of seamless state-wide data products at the country level. Index Terms - CartoSAT-1 stereo data, LISS-IV multi-spectral data, digital elevation model (DEM),

It is observed that, to large extent, sinks have been eliminated in CartoDEM version 2.0. However, few sinks were observed in some of sample datasets evaluated, especially in flat terrain. It is suggested to correct sinks in the DEM , useful for flood inundation analysis and other applications.
anchromatic imagery of the Earth’s surface. The payload system comproises of three optical remote sensing cameras, viz., LISS-IV,LISS-3 and AWiFS.LISS-IV provides 5.8 m resolution in three bands with 70Km swath,LISS-IV can be operated in two modes –mono and Multispectral. In Multispectral mode, data is collected either with 70km swath or 23.5 ...
