As Christians who celebrate Christmas and teach our children how Christmas symbols can point to Jesus, we want to applaud, praise, and support a Christian movie about Christmas, but deep down we felt that, in reality, the movie was poorly done—we just hate to admit it. The movie “Noëlle” ends with something we can all live with and something millions can’t live without. …“
Positive —This is a great, 30 minute Christmas special and one of my favorites! As a huge Peanuts fan, I really enjoy watching this every year. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” tells us what the TRUE meaning of Christmas is when Linus recites the Gospel of Luke, and that Christmas is not about commercialism and Christmas lights.
I love movies that have a redemption thread woven into the plot, and there is very definitely such a thread in “Arthur Christmas” as Arthur and his family work to overcome family disappointments and divisions. Creative, funny, heartwarming, great voice cast, visually dazzling, and (very importantly) clean—“Arthur Christmas” is a winner.
Positive —Great to watch as a Christmas tradition. Actually great to watch for any time of year just to lift your spirits. Suitable for the whole family. Great cast, plot, acting, etc. Predecessor to The Preachers Wife. My Ratings: [Excellent! / 5]
