Sep 22, 2023 · The autumnal equinox is supposed to occur tomorrow. I was looking at my weather app and it indicated that the sunrise and sunset are still 12:11 minutes apart as of today. For reference I live in Rhode Island.
Sep 6, 2023 · I also host a small feast for any attending friends and family using as many local and seasonally-available ingredients as I can (local co-ops and farmers' markets are good places to look); the autumnal equinox being a time of plenty makes it delightfully hard to choose dishes, but for the autumnal equinox that usually takes the form of some kind of soup and/or salad, a three-sisters main course like bean-stuffed squash with cornbread, and apple pie for dessert.
