Nov 13, 2022 · I'm actually surprised that Halifax are OK with that. I spend small amount on my Halifax debit cards, most of the spending is just paying off credit cards and it still counts toward monthly rewards. Even monthly pay in can be achieved just by transferring money among Halifax current account. The £5 reward itself counts as pay in too.

Oct 26, 2023 · 26 October 2023 at 10:25AM. As their regular saver now auto-renews into a new version every year, does anyone know if you could make that extra payment? Does it even make much difference? I note it states you can make payments into the account by standing order or bank transfer each month, and that these payments must be by the 25th.

Can't comment on the acceptance but to get the £5 Reward on the Clarity Card, you must have an existing current account.
Oct 18, 2023 · Hi, I just made an overpayment on my Halifax mortgage for the first time. At Nationwide it was very simply reduce the term, or reduce the monthly payment. By default Halifax does neither. I tried calling to ask what happens if I don't choose one of these methods and I could not really understand what they said, something about reduced interest..
