GoldenEye is a 1995 spy film, the seventeenth in the James Bond Series produced by Eon Productions, and the first to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Directed by Martin Campbell, it was the first in the series not to utilize any story elements from the works of novelist Ian Fleming.
Development began in January 1995. An inexperienced team led by Martin Hollis developed GoldenEye 007 over two and a half years. The game was conceived initially as a rail shooter in the style of SEGA 's Virtua Cop (1994), later developing into a first-person shooter.

Nov 13, 1995 · It’s 1986, James Bond and agent 006, Alec Trevelyan, infiltrate a Russian weapons factory, but Trevelyan is killed by General Ourumov while Bond escapes.
