Nov 1, 2022 · DEHRADUN: Veteran journalist and author, Raj Kanwar, regarded as a prolific chronicler of the Doon valley for the past seven decades, died at the age of 92 in Dehradun early on Monday. According to his elder son, Manav, the veteran writer suffered a heart attack and had been hospitalised since Sunday morning.
Raj Kanwar was born in 1961 in India. He was a director and writer, known for Daag: The Fire (1999), Itihaas (1997) and Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006). He was married to Anita Kanwar. He died on 3 February 2012 in Singapore.
