Stephen Francis Lecce MPP ( Italian: [ˈlettʃe]; born November 26, 1986) is a Canadian politician and Ontario’s current Minister of Energy and Electrification. Lecce served as the Ontario Minister of Education from 2019 to 2024.
Stephen Lecce is the Minister of Energy and Electrification for the Province of Ontario and the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for King-Vaughan. As Minister, Stephen is fighting for student success and is working to build an education system equipped to support our next generation.
Stephen was first elected to represent the riding of King-Vaughan as the Member of Provincial Parliament in 2018 and has served as Ontario’s Minister of Education since June 2019.
