A. LittleBill. 10. For me, the biggest negative has to the be fact that it seems to be so ******* windy all the time. The 450 acre campus isn't exactly what I'd call claustrophobic, though admittedly the buildings aren't as spread out as say a city university, but neither is it half as busy and crowded as a city.
14. My thoughts about Loughborough: - great student union. Lots to do and get involved with if you want. - There are also enough people/committees looking out for you academically and otherwise. - good sports - but you don't have to get involved if you don't want to - most people I know don't.
It's a nice little city while Loughborough is a bit in the middle of nowhere, I thought that campus felt nicer, the accommodation for first years was nicer and at the time was more reasonably priced, and to me Loughborough felt far too focussed on sport and it seemed like the academic side of the University wasn't up to scratch, and that it's league table rankings were being dragged up massively by the student satisfaction and sporting side of things instead of by the results that were being ...

No, Loughborough is not a 'bad' university. It's always been pretty good, but has increased in stature a bit in the last few years. Not bad for certain subjects (e.g. engineering). Clasically also very good if you like sport. On the negative side, the town's a bit ****.
