ICGEB New Delhi is a component of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, located within a campus in South Delhi. It has 25 research groups, a PhD programme, and collaborations with national and international agencies on various topics in biology.
The main laboratories of the ICGEB are located in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa, with a network of over 40 Affiliated Centres world-wide and Regional Research Centres being established in China, Panama and Sri Lanka.
ICGEB New Delhi is one of the three locations of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. It hosts a team of scientists working on various research projects in molecular biology, biotechnology and biofuel.
The Organisation has three Component laboratories with over 45 ongoing research projects in Infectious and Non-communicable diseases, Medical, Industrial and Plant Biology Biotechnology in: Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa.
