Codenames is a word-based party game that challenges players to use creativity and deduction to uncover secret agents. Here are the basic rules: Buy Now! Game Components: Word Cards: A deck of word cards, each containing a word. Key Card: A grid that shows the locations of secret agents, bystanders, and assassins.

Dictionary: You can enter your own word list here (it should be done both on captains' devices and for the common field). Words are comma-separated.
Lay out 25 cards, each bearing a single word. The spymasters look at a card showing the identity of each card, then take turns clueing their teammates. A clue consists of a single word and a number, with the number suggesting how many cards in play have some association to the given clue word.
