Chiba Prefecture is located on Japan's eastern Pacific coast to the east of Tokyo, and is part of the Greater Tokyo Area, the most populous metropolitan area in the world. Chiba Prefecture largely consists of the Bōsō Peninsula, which encloses the eastern side of Tokyo Bay and separates it from Kanagawa Prefecture.
It’s not hard to see that Chiba Prefecture (千葉県, Chiba-ken) is more than just a bed town for its western neighbor Tokyo. In fact, many tourists might find it impossible to avoid the prefecture – Narita Airport is one of the three major international gateway hubs into Japan.

- Kamogawa Sea World. Located about two hours from Tokyo in Kamogawa, Chiba, Kamogawa Sea World is the largest and most popular aquarium in Chiba. Kamogawa Sea World is home to many unique marine animals, such as the beluga whale and majestic orcas.
