MBF is an okay removal tool, but MBP is an utterly sucky protection tool. It's not good enough to replace other products and, as it can and does cause conflicts with other antiviruses, it shouldn't be used alongside them. There's no reason or benefit to using this product. Agreed, it's more of a complement to an AV.
Jul 6, 2023 · McAfee is a good antivirus, yes. It's also completely bullshit if you want to get rid of it. If you haven't maintained your subscription, it will pester you until its pop-ups become so frequent that it's almost impossible to keep any other program the active program for more than a few seconds (granted, it takes several years to become this annoying).

If I were you, I'd use something else, unless you already paid for it, not because it's bad, but because it's not very good and there are better options. 2.
Umm, no. Yes - and 2022 also, still trash. I couldn't give a crap how many scandals John Mcafee has been in if the software was good, but as far as I've seen, over several years and multiple machines, and views from dozens of colleagues, Mcafee is essentially corporate malware.
May 1, 2023 · I also heard that windows defender is good enough. Im just scared of getting viruses honestly, even though i dont really download stuff from suspicous websites. Don’t use McAfee. Its not great and hogs up resources. Use bitdefender (23ish for the first year) and defender as a backup. Is McAfee really that bad😭.

McAfee is a very big and popular antivirus company, you can trust them not to be intentionally malicious (aside from their sales tactics haha), and their security on their end is generally considered to be good. McAfee is a fine AV, performs fine on reputable tests.
Sep 2, 2021 · Nope, it is not good. I suggest trying out Panda Dome instead. McAfee is kind of a meme on the internet because of how bad it is. I have not personally tried it, so I cannot get on the bandwagon. Windows 10 built-in security is also very good. Most experts recommend that one should not waste money on antiviruses in 2021.

Dec 17, 2021 · Windows 11 Anti-Virus Recommendations. I have a new Windows 11 machine. It came pre-loaded with McAfee LiveSafe. Unfortunately, all of the features are enabled, but where to change some of the settings and/or turn off some of the features are not available unless you purchase the program. For example, there is an anti-spam filter for Outlook.
Jan 19, 2024 · The free version of Malwarebytes is an on-demand scanner, not a real-time antivirus. Nope. It’s a part of the big list of no no’s I give. No McAfee, Norton, AVG, Avast, and Trend Micro. My personal recommendational go to’s are Malwarebytes and Bitdefender but my personal settlement is on windows’ built in windows defender.
