Her works transform human-forms of her mostly female protagonists to echo their temperaments, often deploying empty speech or thought bubbles to convey unspeakable sentiments.
DHRUVI ACHARYA’s work focuses on the psychological and emotional aspects of an urban woman’s life in a world teeming with discord, violence and pollution. Primarily a painter, Dhruvi began working with ceramics during her stay in New York in 2021.

Jun 14, 2018 · Dhruvi Acharya, a native of Mumbai, began painting her memories of home soon after reaching the US in 1995. Dhruvi received her MFA in painting, with a scholarship, from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, USA where she was coached by the illustrious painter Grace Hartigan.
