Niagara University (NU) is a private Catholic university in the Vincentian tradition in the Census-designated place Niagara University, New York, within the Town of Lewiston near Niagara Falls. It is run by the Congregation of the Mission and has approximately 3,300 undergraduate students in 50 academic programs.

Niagara University was founded in 1856 as the College and Seminary of Our Lady of Angels, which began with six students and two faculty.

Niagara University is a private liberal arts institution based in the town of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York. It grew to its current status from a Vincentian seminary of six students, established in 1856. There are four colleges at Niagara University: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education and Hospitality and Tourism Management.
