Pokhara University is located in Khudi-Dhungepatan, Pokhara Lekhnath Municipality, Kaski District, 13 km east of Pokhara city (Prithvi Chowk). It also operates an academic complex in Seven Lake City, Lekhnath, surrounded by several peaks of the Himalayan mountain range.

Pokhara University (PU), aiming at making higher education accessible to the underprivileged section of society, provides scholarships to 10 percent of approved quota of students in affiliated Colleges and 20 percent in constituent schools.
Pokhara University has four faculties. They are Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Management Studies and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Management Studies were established in 1997 under the Pokhara University Act.
The School of Business is one of the constituent college of Pokhara University. The School offers four different programs.
An academic year of the University consists of two semester of 16 weeks each. The fall semester starts in September and the spring semester in March. Fresh Admissions are normally made at the beginning of the fall semester.
