Ogre Slayer ( Japanese: 鬼切丸, Hepburn: Onikirimaru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kei Kusunoki. It was published in Shogakukan 's shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Sunday Zōkan (later Shōnen Sunday Super) from 1992 to 2001, with its chapters collected in 20 tankōbon volumes.
Instead of an ogre's horn, this child was born with a sword in hand called the "Onigirimaru" or Ogre Slayer. He has no name and is only refered to by the name of his sword. Believing that he will become human once all of his kind vanished from the world of humans, he sets out on his destiny to slay all ogres.
