Harpers West One was an ATV television drama series about a fictional department store, Harpers, in the West 1 district of London. [1] The show was created by John Whitney and Geoffrey Bellman [2] and ran in one-hour episodes from 1961 to 1963. [3]

Jun 8, 2016 · Harpers West One (ATV 1961-63, Graham Crowden, Jan Holden) Drama series Harpers West One told stories of the staff and customers of a London Department store (the Harpers of the title of course) which as befitting its glamorous post code was located in the West End.
While mostly following the daily lives of the store’s employees, Harpers West One also introduced guest characters with their own story to tell, one of which turned out to be a pop singer named Johnny St Cyr, played by actor John Leyton, fresh from the children’s series Biggles.
