Oct 25, 2022 · ST. SERVATIUS’ COLLEGE WAS FOUNDED IN 1897 IN SRI LANKA.THOUGH THE ORIGIN WAS IN BELGIUM BY ITS NAME AND NOW IT HAS BEEN CONVERTED INTO A UNIVERSITY. AT PRESENT THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY COLLEGE BY ITS NAME IN THE WORLD. THE FOUNDERS OF THE COLLEGE WERE BELGIAN MISSIONARIES WHO HAD VISITED THE ISLAND IN LATE 18TH CENTURY.
