The King's School is a public school in Canterbury, Kent, England. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and the Eton Group. It is Britain's oldest public school; and is arguably the oldest continuously operating school in the world, since education on the Abbey and Cathedral grounds has been uninterrupted since AD 597.

The King’s School, our Senior School, is widely regarded as the oldest school in England. Its story is intertwined with that of the United Kingdom’s first cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The King’s School, Canterbury has a history and setting that cannot fail to inspire. It has claims to be the oldest school in England, founded almost 1500 years ago.
