Puppet Mughal ruler at Delhi. Grandson of Kam Bakhsh (q.v.), Shah Jahan III was not the rightful heir to the Mughal throne. Following the murder of Alamgir II (q.v.) in November 1759, he was set up as a puppet ruler by the vizier Ghazi-ad-din and the administratiom at Delhi was carried on in his name for a few months until his death in 1760.
