Aurubis has six copper smelter sites: Hamburg and Lünen in Germany, Pirdop in Bulgaria, Olen and Beerse in Belgium, Berango in Spain. All these smelters process copper-rich raw materials into high-purity copper cathodes. They are not identical, though — each site works with individual processes and has specific strengths.
